Volunteering
Become a
part of
The
Wheeling
Jamboree
by
volunteering
in any
of the
following
areas:
Administration:
You will
assist
our
teams
with
distribution
of press
releases,
subscriptions,
media
communications,
invitations,
travel,
artist &
guest
services.
Production:
For each
show we
need
many
hands on
deck
each
Saturday.
You will
likely
be
involved
in
moving,
sound
reinforcement
set-up,
props,
using
tools,
lighting
and
related
tech
support.
Ushering:
Be a
part of
and see
one of
nations
oldest
live
radio
and
stage
shows
each
week for
free by
Ushering.

The
Jamboree
has a
dedicated
group of
volunteer
ushers.
They
perform
some of
the most
integral
jobs in
the
venue on
a
show-by-show
basis.
We
couldn�t
do it
without
them!

THE
USHER
DRESS
CODE
All
volunteer
ushers
are
required
to
adhere
to the
dress
code:
Professional
black
and
white �
Patterns
and
designs
encouraged!
No
jeans,
tennis
shoes or
sandals
Ushers
can also
wear any
of the
Jamboree
t-shirts,
available
only
from the
Wheeling
Jamboree.
USHER
POSITIONS
●Greeter
- Help
direct
people
around
the
building
and
greet
patrons
as they
enter
the
building.
●Server
-
Serving
refreshments
and
snacks
at the
welcome
area.
This
position
requires
cash
handling.
●Souvenir
stand �
Sell
books,
CD's,
DVD's
and
souvenir
items.
This
position
requires
cash
handling.
●Ticket
Collector-
Take
tickets
and
direct
patrons
to the
correct
area of
the
venue to
be
seated.
●Seating
Usher -
Hand out
programs
and
usher
patrons
to their
seats.
●Coat
Check -
Check
coats,
bags,
and
other
items
for
patrons
in the
Welcome
area.
●All
ushers
are
entitled
to a
FREE
SEAT to
every
show
that
they
usher.
It�s the
easiest
way to
see
shows
for
free!
Please
note
that
these
seats
are
given on
a space
available
basis.
On the
rare
occasions
that
there
are no
available
seats,
all
ushers
are
entitled
to one
comp
ticket
to a
performance
of their
choice
for that
same
show.
